David, New Zealand

Worst news ever! I've just found out I'm gluten intolerant. I can't believe it, really. I always thought there was something wrong with the way I ate, but not this. The doctor said I have to eat gluten-free food, so I need to get a nutritionist. Does this mean I have to eat special food? Have you got any suggestions? Can I eat the food they sell at the school canteen?

  1. David, you should accept your problem , the most probably is that your family will support you, they will buy you these kind of "special food" (anyways it's not that bad) Im sure you'll get over it, Don't forget you CAN'T eat food in the school cantine, unless it's gluten free.

  4. David, first you have to know that there are many people who are gluten intolerant, if you want to buy food from the canteen you have to look first if these foods have gluten, you could also go with a nutritionist who recommends you what food you can eat.

  5. Hi, David
You dont have to be sad because you can't eat gluten, there are many people like you and they have a normal life. Yes, you have to eat special food, maybe you will need help for choose the correct food, but don't worry about it. You can't eat all the food they sell at the school canteen, so you should ask before you buy if it's without gluten. I hope I could help you.
    Take care,
    Lucas.

  6. Hi there David. Stay calm, it’s not difficult to follow a celiach diet. You must always find the “Without T.A.C.C.” symbol in the package of what you are buying. It may be a little expensive to follow this kinda diet but don’t forget that is for own good. Take care of yourself!
